Chi-Angus heifer division has been added for the 2024 show season. Adding a breed to the MCCA Show order costs $150 and must be done by December 31st, so the breed can be added for 2025 if desired.

There are no rules regarding if a judge can or cannot pick more than a breed champion and reserve in each breed. At MCCA sponsored shows such as the Chillicothe Winter Preview and the Battle of the Breeds shows, we typically allow the judge to pick as many cattle of any breed that they would like to bring back to the grand drive to be eligible for top 5 overall, although points and prizes are only awarded to the breed champion and reserve.

Any animal showing in a breed class must have registration in the junior’s name who is exhibiting the animal. It is okay to register an animal in multiple siblings’ names, but they will receive points individually for the exhibitor showing that day rather than all of the points counting toward one animal.
